An Accidental Flirt?

Written: 08/06/2011

Guys, girls, so very different and yet also alike
Mistakes will be made like learning to ride a bike
The trick lies in braving getting back on
Discerning how and where you went wrong

Girls can play by a complex melody
Outwardly it seems fine but more goes on subtly
Boys hanging with boys is a comparatively simple tune
They play, they fight, they boast and as such are hewn

Brothers and sisters or rather friend or foe
Interacting with the opposite can be difficult to know
With some it is easy you don't have to try
Others hide behind masks, secrets and alibi

Have I made flirting nothing more than a playground game?
Or is it that I, dimwittedly, treat boys and girls the same?
