Oh to understand the mind of God.
Or simply fathom one facet of His glorious creation.
The immense diversity of plant life:
The different colours, shades and tones,
The different sizes, shapes and unknowns.

Oh to understand our surrounding beauty.
Or simply fathom why flowers are so resplendent.
The reasons behind how they capture our gaze:
The different fragrances, scents and smells,
The different reactions when brought to our nose.

Oh to understand all of these things.
Or simply fathom which heart strings they pull.
The astonishing fact that there are so many:
The different times they open and close,
The different ways they make themselves known.
