I Sit and Watch the Clouds Roll

Written: 12/09/2012

I sit and watch the clouds roll
Set on a Summer cerulean sky
For they, my attention, stole
Idly they drift on slowly by

Above they proudly parade
Knowing which way they go
A canvas for light and shade
Following an atlas not on show

These clouds roam a little near
The hilltops scrape the white
By days end they'll disappear
To leave a starry night
