I Wish I Were...

I wish I were a bumblebee
I would buzz in your face and hide in a tree

I wish I were a velociraptor
I would run around fast and then even faster

I wish I were an African lion
I would call you names and hula like a Hawaiian

I wish I were a floppy-eared bunny
I would nibble at your toes and steal your honey

I wish I were a short giraffe
I would eat your homework and make you laugh

I wish I were a grizzly bear
I would bounce on your bed and take you to the fair

I wish I were a proud pelican
I would read all your books and pretend to be a man

I wish I were a crocodile
I would put all your things in an unordered pile

I wish I were a dancing gorilla
I would buy you a boat and with bananas I would fill her

I wish I were a cunning sparrow
I would put an apple on your head and shoot it off with an arrow

I wish I were an elephant
I would tie tricky knots because I know you can't

I wish I were a hopping frog
I would stick out my tongue whilst I sit on my log

I wish I were I were a sleepy sloth
I would hang upside down and enjoy hearty broth

I wish I were a wise old owl
I would point over there and whip you with a towel
