My Sleeping Hour

Written: 30/11/2003

In my bed, my sleeping hour
I lie awake with no desire.

Curtains lighten with the rising sun
My alarm goes off, an annoying hum.

I crunch my eyes shut as shut can be
But I am awake for all to see.

Slowly, slowly my eyes creep open
I hit my alarm, the noise is broken.

I lie there again, asleep I say.
