No Matter (a poem for a loved one)

No matter how bad you feel,
No matter how ugly you think you are,
No matter how broken you seem,
No matter how afraid you become,

No matter how tough the day
No matter how long the night
No matter how lonely it seems,
No matter how tiring just living is,

No matter how long it takes,
No matter how painful it is,
No matter how many times you cry,
No matter how, when or why,

You are perfect and you are beautiful in God's eyes,
He has fixed you once for all, and will take away all your fears.

He loves you and cherishes you and will NEVER forsake you!
He is your fortress and your strong tower,
He is an ever present help in times of need.

When all else seems to fail and waves come crashing down,
His Word stands forever and you can stand in the shelter of His wing.

Wait for the LORD;
Be strong and take heart
And wait for the LORD.
