Of Forests, Fields & Trees
Written: 19/05/2011
What can be said about the differences of these three?
A field is just a forest without any trees
And a forest is a field which has severely overgrown
And a tree is but a forest that wishes to be alone
Now a field and a tree sometimes combine
Beauty they encapsulate and indeed majesty enshrine
And a forest might stretch from coast to coast
But it is humble in heart and sees no reason to boast
Every now and then trees will grow in pairs
Hugging as they age to show their love and care
With a forest it is different they were born to fight
Doing battle through the day and are friends overnight
So do not be mistaken for this is their glory
If you asked either one it would share its story
It might take a lifetime for they are older than we
But it would blow your mind to know of forests, fields and trees
