On Leaving this Place

So what can I say about the prospect of travel?
What can be said about the thought of leaving?

I am torn;

On one hand there is hope of adventure that lies ahead,
the freedom it gives and the thrill of the unknown.

On the other there is the pain of saying goodbye,
and the slight fear that plans may go awry.

But,
I know that you would go if it were right for you to do so.
I know you will be there waiting when I return.
I know, with a little bit of faith, that everything will be fine.
And
I know sometimes things not going to plan make
the best adventures.
