Should one live with a light touch
Loving lots but not asking much?
Leaving your imprint wherever you go
But passing by gently like a shadow

Should each step take you a little bit further?
To see the world in all its splendour
To the edge of the land where earth meets shore
But then crossing the crevasse, that illustrious lure

Should your smile forming tell a new story?
Each moment shining to add to your glory
Every tear witnessed shed, should you wipe it away
And offer your arms, as solace, for them to lay

Should you look only forward and not glance back
In wisdom remember every turn in your track
Invent new ways to show love to the poor
And let them become all that you adore
