Takes its Toll

This life takes a toll
To sort through its pieces
Broken not whole
Iron out the creases

As it wears on down
My patience to its end
To keep my head, not drown
Where can I depend?

On the Rock that is firm
That cannot be shaken
From the Truth I'll learn
"I shan't be forsaken"

Given peace that transcends
The understanding of man
And strength that endures
Greatly past His final command
