Trapped in my Imagination

Written: 01/11/2010

In front of me is a purple dragon, towering over everything
In my hand is a sword, with a destiny to slay the beast
In my heart is courage, to attack the monster before me
In my mind is a plan, of how to defeat the creature.

I leap forth, thrusting my blade vengefully,
High into the air I soar and I'm flying free as a bird.

Beside me is a flock of birds, looking slightly bemused
Below me are hills, rolling by as I rocket on
In front of me are mountains, collecting snow from the clouds
Above me is the blazing sun, dazzling bright.

I saw higher and higher still in the deep blue sky,
Then I start to fall as my wings melt in the heat.

A snowboard is on my feet, as I plough down the slopes
A wind runs through my hair, as I gather speed
Trees are in front of me, as I dodge Nature's slalom
An avalanche is behind me, as I surf on the frothy snow.

Suddenly I'm sucked under and the current is too strong,
Tumbling and turning, the ocean spits me out on a beach.

Behind me is a stormy sea, raging like a beast
Under me is soft white sand, warming me up
In front of me a forgotten jungle, longing to be explored
In my soul is a passion for the next thrill.

I charge forward into the veiled before me,
I glance back and see the purple enemy rising.

And so I'm stuck, trapped in my imagination.
